I remember when I found this subject. I wasn’t wondering around a cave documenting stalagmites and stalactites. I was actually in a dense forest. An old tree had toppled over (perhaps from a recent storm) revealing a trove of freshly splintered wood. Hope that “clears” up the story behind the “crystals” in this

“Breathe” is a tribute to George Floyd. Here his visage is stuck not between a knee and the pavement but the tidal forces of black and white. In this fallen tree I wanted to bring a sense of hope to the tragedy that befell Mr. Floyd. Rather than remembering him as a man who couldn’t breathe, I prefer to think of him as an icon who forever

I can’t say what created this green tinge to the sidewalk (I think it was something spilled and a time of day thing), but I was happy to catch it. If someone else had, I would’ve been envious.
